The associates at Omnipro Services provide full range construction site services. These services are typically provided by full-time on-site personnel as construction progresses. These core services are part of our comprehensive approach to construction to help ensure that your project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. We work concurrently with contractors so they can complete their work according to the specifications in a timely manner. Some examples of these services include:
Construction Management & Admin.-
Omnipro Services can provide a full time staff consisting of any discipline for your project. Examples included estimators, schedulers, inspectors, testers, and engineers. These dedicated people can provide documentation review, estimate preparation, schedules, inspection, material testing, documentation archiving, value engineering reviews, etc. for your project. We are a client focused owner’s representative. We possess the most comprehensive skill set in the construction management industry that is unequaled. We can provide the experience of a large corporation with the response time and attention to customer needs of a small organization. We are a team player that takes on a head coaching role in the construction process, getting all stakeholders pointed in the right direction and working in harmony to achieve a common beneficial outcome.
- Inspection
- Omnipro Services provides trained, educated, and licensed inspectors to perform construction inspection. We are intimately familiar with Ohio standards for construction. We stress the word inspection in the services that we provide. Unlike many of our competitors, we do not believe in performing construction observation or monitoring. Inspection is a proactive role in construction where observation and monitoring are retroactive. This is more than simply watching and noting what is done on the project. Omnipro Services makes ourselves part of the construction process, helping the contractor complete his work according to the specifications in a timely manner, making sure any deficiencies are identified early and corrected in real time if possible. If correction cannot be made in real time then the deficiency is carefully documented and tracked until it is resolved.
- Meetings
- Regular communications between project stakeholders is paramount to successful project execution. Regular project progress meetings can be held at any pre-determined interval. These meetings are not only scheduled to resolve issues, they are also designed for the purpose of sharing information. We conduct them efficiently and effectively. We provide detailed minutes to stimulate the communication process by providing proceedings and action items to keep all stakeholders on the same page. Most importantly, the minutes clearly identify the "ball in court" so everyone knows who has responsibility for the particular action item and therefore is controlling the speed of the process.
- Partnering
- Omnipro Services attempts to develop a working relationship with all project participants. This process begins before the construction process by scheduling meetings and conference calls with each participant to discuss the project as well as each party’s needs/goals and understandings. While it is not always possible to develop a good working relationship with all stakeholders, Omnipro Services provides the best working framework for each project with the conditions and participants it inherits on the projects.
- ARRA Project Compliance
- Omnipro Services has completed specialized training at ODOT Central Office as well as ODOT District 4 for specialized project requirements that are governed by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. Our personnel are cognizant and keenly aware of the importance of meeting these requirements on all ARRA projects. Combining these requirements with our construction experience, we can develop specialized checklists and other project controls to ensure your projects are in compliance. Our status as the "LPA Experts" requires we participate in training programs at the earliest offerings to maintian our leadership status in LPA Construction industry.
- DBE/EDGE Monitoring/Compliance
- Omnipro Services is well versed in managing DBE and EDGE contract participant requirements. We perform regular audits, commercially useful function reviews, and accounting of funds that have been paid to subcontractors. We maintain a proactive role on each project, constantly looking ahead and anticipating shortfalls in the contractor’s execution of the plan. When shortfalls are anticipated, we work with the contractor to help him plan & solicit new DBE/Edge firms so their goals can be met if at all possible.
- EEO/Prevailing Wage Monitoring/Compliance
- If required, Omnipro Services reviews all certified payrolls for compliance with Federal or State prevailing wage requirements on its projects. Routine interviews are performed on site to verify payroll information. These reviews and interviews are performed on a regular on-going basis throughout the duration of construction activities.
- Construction Materials Testing
- Omnipro Services provides material testing services as required by our cliental. We place a team on each project that is certified and knowledgeable to complete materials testing in soils, aggregates, asphalt and concrete, and to provide written reports of the results. Our personnel can further interpret testing results and make recommendations to our clients as to the acceptance of the in-place materials, or potential rework that may be required by the contractor. Should QA/QC problems arise, we are ready to provide recommendations based on a technical review of the issue and based on our past experience. We can provide these technical services quickly and efficiently to ensure project progress is maintained.
Documentation- Documentation is an integral part of providing quality construction management services. From the design stage through closeout, good documentation is your best defense against unforeseen issues that might appear during construction or after the completion of your project. Our documentation system utilizes a detailed file tracking system that clearly categorizes each piece of documentation on the project. If required by our client, Omnipro Services can maintain a complete set of as-built drawings and documents for the project which carefully detail the as-built condition for future reference. When changes occur on our projects, our team keeps detailed records of all work, materials, and equipment used in the changed work so it can be priced and accounted for in the most economical fashion possible. All deficient work is painstakingly detailed and tracked by our team until an acceptable resolution is achieved. Since all work is well documented on our projects, we can accurately verify all estimate submissions by contractors, verifying all submitted work for payment.
- Public Relations
- For a project that has an impact on the public due to its funding, location, or project type, effective communication of potential impacts to these stakeholders is essential in maintaining a cooperative atmosphere among team members. Personal contact by our construction management personnel and quick reaction to the concerns of all team members is the foundation to maintaining our leadership position. Participation in community meetings and public forums is an excellent method for informing the community of current and upcoming construction activities that may impact them.
- Status Reports
- Omnipro Services can produce and distribute monthly construction reports that depict the percent complete, budget status, open issues, current change orders, completed change orders, anticipated change orders, as well as any other information that may prove useful to our owners. These reports can be produced, formatted, and delivered in a variety of formats. They can be aesthetically optimized by including project photos, bar charts, pie charts, and other tools to convey information in methodology that everyone can understand.
- Submittals
- Omnipro Services records every piece of correspondence handled by the project office. Professional construction management personnel are responsible for tracking submittals to be reviewed to ensure timely responses to contractors. Our experience indicates that a well-coordinated review process can typically return submittals, either approved or rejected, to the contractor within a two-week timeframe. On projects that decide to incorporate our web-based controls, there are considerable time reductions in turning around submittals.
Change Management- While a good preconstruction team can minimize contract changes during construction, there will always be the possibility of change on each and every project. Using our comprehensive construction knowledge coupled with our proactive inspection and management processes, we can minimize the impacts of changes to a project. We simultaneously analyze each and every change for cost, schedule, and time impacts to develop multiple heuristic solutions to present to our owners. While it is always important to consider the individual cost impact of change, sometimes the schedule impact will have a far greater end cost to the project by elevating construction costs across the board. Our heuristic solutions provide several lowest or near lowest costs options.
- Pay Requests
- Omnipro Services monitors project costs on a continuous basis. As the contractors pursue the work, our personnel will track and document its completion. Omnipro Services will verify all contract quantities and will recommend approval of each pay estimate each month. If requested, a report with complete current status of all cost categories, which can be measured against the original construction budget, is prepared. Any variances that occur are highlighted and specifically reported upon and accompanied by an explanation of the method for either offsetting the variance or implementation of a plan to remedy a particular variance.
- Schedule Maintenance
- During construction Omnipro Services will monitor the construction progress and compare it to the approved CPM schedule. Should variances occur, they are brought to the contractors attention in limited time so that recovery action can be implemented at least cost and disruption to the project and contractor. We also can use our expertise database to help guide the contractor back onto schedule with limited unplanned resource allocation.
- Dispute/Claims Mitigation
- To minimize or avoid claims, Omnipro Services is always anticipating issues that have the potential to impact the contractors’ work. It is a well know fact that the cost of a particular claim has a direct relation to time. As time passes, an unresolved issue will become more expensive to resolve. This relationship is due to a variety of reasons which include rework that has to be performed because the initial issue was buried during the course of construction as it remained unsolved. Also, the longer an issue remains unresolved, the stakeholders tend to forget critical information and the entire subject begins to become “fuzzy”. Lastly, material, labor, and other construction costs typically rise over time and the basic cost of constructing the item in question just becomes more expensive. Omnipro Services keeps all potential claim items in the forethoughts of our stakeholders during the progress of construction and push a for quick resolution. We consistently provide our owners several options or avenues to resolve the issue with the least impact to the project schedule, budget, and quality.
