Traditional LPA Construction
The associates of Omnipro Services have contributed to the success of a multitude of Traditional LPA Projects. While this experience was obtained by our associates as employees of other organization(s), they have brought their acquired personal skill sets obtained on these projects to Omnipro Services. These projects include roadway widenings, bridge replacements, complex drainage, signalization, and urban upgrading. Specializing in construction management & inspection, our associates have become the leaders in LPA construction delivery. We strive to maintain the latest training and certifications for these projects, most recently including the required ARRA training provided by ODOT central office and the districts for Stimulus Project delivery. Some examples of our past experience are:
Hartville to Alliance Resurfacing Project- Prior to joining Omnipro Services, our associates were part of the Construction Services Team that provided construction site services for the construction administration team provided by the Ohio Department of Transportation. This project included the resurfacing of State Route 619 between Hartville and Alliance. The project was a traditional LPA Project with a construction value of $1.3 Million and consisted of 11.46 miles of resurfacing, the demolition/reconstruction of the Swartz Road Ditch structure, and the demolition / reconstruction of the Beech Creek structure. These pre-stressed concrete box beam structures consisted of two, 60 foot spans with an asphalt overlay.
City of Girard Roadway Widening Project- Prior to joining Omnipro Services, our associates were part of the Construction Services Team that provided construction site services for the construction administration team provided by the Ohio Department of Transportation. This widening project had a construction value of $5.5 Million and consisted of widening approximately 2 miles of existing roadway, the construction of a two span structure, the installation of a box culvert, replacing existing storm sewers, relocating water lines and fire hydrants, and relocating gas lines. The project also included the total replacement of 5 intersections and the installation of 5 new traffic signals.. The maintenance of traffic required maintaining two lanes of traffic.
City of Cortland Roadway Widening Project- Prior to joining Omnipro Services, our associates were part of the Construction Services Team that provided construction site services along with material testing, for this Traditional LPA project located in the City of Cortland. This project, known as the State Route 5 Road Widening Project, had a construction cost of $1.6 Million and included the widening of SR-5 through down town Cortland. The maintenance of traffic required maintaining two lanes of traffic during construction. Additional elements included new curbs, sidewalks, driveways, and two new strain poles along with the installation of six new traffic signal heads.
City of Warren Roadway Reconstruction- Prior to joining Omnipro Services, our associates were part of the Construction Services Team that provided construction site services for this project that required the replacement of four traffic control systems for the four Packard drives that connect with Larchmont Avenue as well as one new intersection set of traffic control devices at Larchmont and North River Road. There was also the installation of two new traffic signal systems and detectors for the ramps at State Route 5 / State Route 82 and Larchmont Avenue.
City of Youngstown Bridge Replacement- Prior to joining Omnipro Services, our associates were part of the Construction Services Team that provided construction site services for this project, known as the Marshall Street Bridge Replacement Project. It is a main artery to downtown Youngstown Ohio and required a total closure for a partial season. The project consisted of the reconstruction of the structure along with the rehabilitation of the approach pavements and approach slabs. The concrete deck was placed using ODOT standard high performance concrete and epoxy coated reinforcing steel. The project spanned a railroad and a river which complicated erection and delivery activities.
City of Niles Roadway Widening Project- Prior to joining Omnipro Services, our associates were part of the Construction Services Team that provided construction site services for this project which consisted of the Widening of State Route 46 in Niles Ohio along with various drainage and accessibility enhancements. The maintenance of traffic required maintaining two lanes of traffic during construction. Turn Lanes, Drive Aprons, Sidewalk, and New Roadway Pavement were major improvements for the local community on this project. The surface roadway course consisted of specialized rubberized asphalt for better performance in the weather conditions encountered in this region.
