Nontraditional LPA Construction
The associates of Omnipro Services have contributed to the success of an extensive number of diverse Non-Traditional LPA Projects across Ohio. While some of this experience (as noted) was obtained by our associates as employees of other organization(s), they have brought their acquired personal skill sets obtained on these projects to Omnipro Services. These projects include roadway rehabilitation, intersection improvements, roadway widenings, bridge replacements, complex drainage, signalization, new roadway/bridge construction, and urban upgrading. Specializing in construction management & inspection, our associates have become the leaders in LPA construction delivery. We strive to maintain the latest training and certifications for these projects, most recently including the required ARRA training provided by ODOT central office and the districts for Stimulus Project delivery. Some examples of our past experience are:
Market Avenue-Lake Center Street Project- Omnipro Services is providing Construction Support & Construction Site services on this Non-traditional LPA Project in Lake Township for the Stark County Engineer’s Office. The project included the widening of Market Street and includes the addition of a turning lane, intersection improvements of Market Avenue & Lake Center Street and Market Avenue & Woodland Street, storm water drainage improvements, resurfacing of existing roadway, installation of two new traffic signals, and the improvement of a pedestrian tunnel.
South Main Street Reconstruction – City of North Canton- Omnipro Services is providing Construction Management services on this 1.34 mile long non-traditional LPA project for the City of North Canton. The scope includes the milling and resurfacing of the roadway with a rubberized surface course, the replacement of curb ramps, catch basins, and manholes as well as full depth pavement repairs. Project completion in 2011.
Canton Park Drive Reconstruction- Omnipro Services provided construction support & site services on this stimulus funded non-traditional LPA project located is Northwest Canton. The scope included reconstruction of a major intersection between Fulton Road and Park Drive. The new intersection was signalized with turning lanes. Additional elements included new curb and gutter, storm sewers, resurfacing and full depth replacements extending out from the intersection. This project provided an additional and aesthetically pleasing entrance to the Pro-football Hall of Fame.
Canton Roadway Rehabilitation Project- Omnipro Services provided construction support & site services on this stimulus funded non-traditional LPA project located in south Canton. The scope of the project included the replacement of all pavements, subgrade, and the removal/replacement of select poor subsurface materials. Once all unsuitable material was removed the soil was stabilized using a geo-synthetic grid system prior to placing new roadway base. The new roadway was profiled and surfaced with flexible asphalt pavement.
Canton, OH 12th Street Reconstruction Project- Omnipro Services provided Construction Support and Construction Site services for the Stark County Engineer for the 12th Street Reconstruction Project. This project, located between Canton and Massillon, improved 12th Street by re-profiling the existing grades, replacing a large drainage conduit system, and implementing slope improvements. As part of the surface re-profiling, significant undercutting along with an engineered fill system utilizing a geotextile system was utilized.
Deerfield Bridge Reconstruction- Omnipro Services provided construction support & construction site services on this Non-Traditional LPA Project in western Stark County. This project consisted of demolition of the current structure and the construction of a new concrete box beam bridge with integral abutments. The project had unique MOT challenges as it was located at the perigee of a steeply graded (›10%) roadway adjacent to railroad tracks.
Stark County Roadway Widening Project- Prior to joining Omnipro Services, our associates were part of the Construction Services Team that provided construction support & site services on this Non-traditional LPA Project in Stark County. This project, known as the Cleveland Avenue Widening Phase II, was a $9.75 Million project included widening and resurfacing, installation of new curb, storm and sanitary sewers in excess of 30 feet in depth, retaining walls, traffic control signs, signals and pavement markings, and upgrading S.R. 619 (Edison Street) at the Cleveland Avenue intersection by widening for left turn lanes. Our team members were responsible for all Construction Administration duties including; reviewing the contractor’s value engineering proposals, CPM schedule submissions, RFI’s, Submittal Approvals, Project Meetings, Contractor Pay Requests, Change Orders, Material Testing, Inspection, Public Relations as well as many other duties.
North Royalton Intersection Improvements- Prior to joining Omnipro Services, our associates were part of the Construction Services Team that provided construction support & site services on this Non-traditional LPA Project in The City of North Royalton. This project, known as the State Route 82 Intersection Improvements, was a $4.9 Million project included full depth reconstruction and widening of the existing pavement with asphalt pavement, installation of new curb, sidewalk and driveway aprons, and the re-establishment of new traffic control measures including signing, striping and signalization at each intersection. Our team members were responsible for all Construction Administration duties including; reviewing the contractor’s value engineering proposals, CPM schedule submissions, RFI’s, Submittal Approvals, Project Meetings, Contractor Pay Requests, Change Orders, Material Testing, Inspection, Public Relations as well as many other duties.
Summit County Widening Project- Prior to joining Omnipro Services, our associates were part of the Construction Services Team that provided construction support & site services on this Non-traditional LPA Project in Summit County. This project, known as the South Main Street Widening Phases I & II, had a construction cost of $8.3 Million. Basic project elements included the construction of one mile of roadway widening, the construction of a 600 foot, hot dip galvanized bridge, new storm water drainage, new sanitary sewer, and new water lines. Our team members were responsible for all construction administration duties including; reviewing the contractor’s value engineering proposals, CPM schedule submissions, RFI’s, Submittal Approvals, Project Meetings, Contractor Pay Requests, Change Orders, Material Testing, Inspection, Public Relations as well as many other duties.
Cleveland Avenue Paving and Drainage- Prior to joining Omnipro Services, our associates were part of the Construction Services Team that provided construction support & site services on this 3 mile long project. The scope includes the milling and resurfacing of the roadway with a rubberized surface course, the replacement of 78 inch diameter conduit that is almost 30 feet in depth, new sidewalk ramps, loop detectors for existing signalized intersections, along with new curb and gutter. Maintenance or traffic plays a very important role as this roadway serves as the main artery between two metropolitan areas. The project is scheduled to be complete in 2010.

Tremont Bridge Rehabilitation Project - Prior to joining Omnipro Services, our associates were part of the Construction Services Team that provided construction support & site services on this Non-traditional LPA Project in Stark County. Closed since 2005 and one of the few viaduct crossings in downtown Massillon, the Tremont Road Bridge Reconstruction Project will provide the people of Massillon with additional access to the downtown area once re-opened. This bridge spans the Ohio-Erie canal, two sets of track for Norfolk Southern Railroad, One set of tracks for R.J. Coreman Railroad as well as a set of services tracks, S.R. 21, an Army Corp. of Engineers levy and a local street. There are many unique coordination challenges associated with this project.
City of Brookpark Railroad Bridge- Prior to joining Omnipro Services, our associates were part of the Construction Services Team that provided construction support & site services on this Non-traditional LPA Project in the City of Brook Park, Ohio. This project, known as the Snow Road Improvement Project, created a grade separation at the intersection of Snow Road and the CSX Railroad with the construction of a new Railroad Bridge and the re-profiling of Snow Road. Total construction costs, including railroad work, exceeded $9 Million. Our team members were responsible for all Construction Administration duties including; reviewing the contractor’s value engineering proposals, CPM schedule submissions, RFI’s, Submittal Approvals, Project Meetings, Contractor Pay Requests, Change Orders, Coordination with the Railroad, Material Testing, Inspection, Public Relations as well as many other duties.
Stark County’s Carl Street Storm Sewer- Prior to joining Omnipro Services, our associates were part of the Construction Services Team that provided construction support & site services on this Non-traditional LPA Project in Stark County. This project, known as the Carl Street Storm Sewer Project, was located in Uniontown, Ohio. The $1.5 Million project entailed the installation of a 60¨ reinforced concrete pipe located at depths greater than 30 feet. A critical component of the project was the path of the storm sewer pipe, which was located within several feet of residents’ homes. This close proximity dictated proper shoring and trench reinforcement to prevent settlement or failure of the residences. Our team members’ services included Construction Inspection, Administration, Submittal Review, Correspondence Management, Change Orders, Material Testing, Inspection, Cost Control and Public Relations.
City of North Canton Widening/Bridge & Intersection Replacement Project- Prior to joining Omnipro Services, our associates were part of the Construction Services Team that provided construction support & construction site services on this Non-traditional LPA Project for the City of North Canton. The project included the widening of South Main Street to include a turning lane, the intersection section improvements of South Main Street and Everhard Road, the storm water drainage improvements, and the replacement of an eighty year old brick arch structure with a one span beam structure. Bridge parapets included architectural form panels for a simulated brick appearance.
North Main Street Reconstruction – City of North Canton- Omnipro Services provided Construction Management services on this 1.02 mile long roadway reconstruction project for the City of North Canton. The scope included the widening & resurfacing of the roadway with a rubberized surface course, the replacement of curb ramps, catch basins, and manholes as well as full depth pavement repairs.
